I was at a time when life felt overwhelming and everything seemed to be falling apart. I was quiet, shy, and in need of connection. I joined the Louisiana Ladies hoping to find friendship, and what I discovered was so much more: a sense of belonging, empowerment, and a supportive sisterhood that helped me rediscover my confidence.

Though I’ve always considered myself reserved and hesitant to step outside my comfort zone, being part of this team pushed me to grow in ways I never expected. Their encouragement inspired me to take a major step in my life—I enrolled in college at the age of 37 to pursue my dream of becoming a registered nurse.

The Louisiana Ladies has truly become my tribe. I feel constantly supported, deeply connected, and never happier than when I’m surrounded by this incredible group of women. This experience has given me the strength to face life’s challenges with resilience and renewed confidence.

Although I officially became a member a year ago, my journey with the Louisiana Ladies began even earlier—as a helper, while recovering from a leg procedure. From the very beginning, this team welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like I truly belonged.

What sets the Louisiana Ladies apart is their unwavering commitment to inclusion, support, and kindness. Each member goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone feels valued and embraced, no matter their role or background.

I can honestly say that this is the best team I’ve ever had the privilege of being part of, and I’m incredibly grateful for the sense of community, encouragement, and friendship I’ve found here.

After moving to Louisiana, I came across a post about the Louisiana Ladies on Facebook—and it turned out to be one of the best discoveries I’ve ever made. From the moment I met the team, I felt welcomed and have been proud to be part of this amazing group of women (and their “littles”) ever since.

I truly enjoy spending time with the team, not just during performances, but in all the activities we do together outside of parades. Performing is a highlight for me, especially during Mardi Gras season, when I get to interact with the crowds—most of all, the children. The joy and excitement they bring make every performance unforgettable.

Being a Louisiana Lady has given me a strong sense of community, joy, and purpose. I can honestly say I’m living my best life surrounded by such an inspiring and supportive group. 

This team is all about getting out of your comfort zone, making a sisterhood and always be in there for each other. This have been the best decision I ever made on being a part of the Louisiana ladies. 

Being part of the Louisiana Ladies has been an incredibly meaningful experience. I’ve loved every moment spent with this amazing group of women, and the friendships I’ve gained along the way have been truly special.

More importantly, this team has helped me find confidence in myself. The Louisiana Ladies are more than just a dance group—they are a supportive, empowering community that lifts one another up and encourages everyone to shine. I’m so proud to be a part of it.

This team is truly my family! I have never met a more female empowering, loving, supportive and downright amazing group of ladies than the Louisiana Ladies. I’ve been on the team since DAY 1 and I truly love this team!! 

The Louisiana Ladies has given me so many things that I needed, and a few things I didn't even know I needed! The team has helped me to find solid friendships, confidence in things I was uncomfortable with, an outlet for stress, a way to stay active, a space to be safe, and chances to be involved with the community. Joining in 2022 was one of the best decisions I've made!
